Foster Parent Preparation

Foster and adoptive parents are a valuable resource for children, their biological families, and the entire community. Foster parenting success comes from vigilant motivation and practical training. Private Child-Placing (PCP) agencies are one of the resources interested parents can participate in to start providing care and services for a child for whom the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) has legal responsibility.

OHCPAP uses a collaborative approach to provide training and support services for foster parents working within PCP agencies in Kentucky. We applaud you for your willingness to make a difference in the lives of children and thank you for your interest in becoming a selfless act that forever changes your life and the lives of others.
